It's called the Seabin - and it's a super cheap and super effective method of cleaning oceans and lakes.
But... What is it exactly? It's a bin that floats on the surface of the ocean that creates a natural vacuum in which water flows through. In the bin is a net that collects garbage, oil, fuel, detergents, and other debris.
It works 24/7 with little maintenance and does not require any power to work.
It's a perfect garbage collector for floating docks in the water of marinas, private pontoons, inland waterways, residential lakes, harbours, water ways, ports and yacht clubs. As those areas are prone to collecting garbage.
The Seabin project held a successful indiegogo fundraiser in 2016, and are now on a mission to help make our world a better place. And now needs your help to spread the word.
